2012 Jun 12

Joshua Bittinger, of Taylors, S.C., recently participated in a study abroad trip to Spain led by Dr. Kevin Kenyon, an associate professor of history at Coker College. The group traveled to Girona, Costa Braca and Barcelona during the two-week excursion. Participants surveyed the history of Catalonia from Roman times to the Post Modern and took an interdisciplinary look at Catalan distinctiveness in relation to Spain as a whole using cultural history, cuisine, anthropology and art. Bittinger graduated from Coker in May with degrees in criminology and psychology.

Coker College readies undergraduates for personal and professional success through a distinctive four-year program that emphasizes a practical application of the liberal arts as well as hands-on and discussion-based learning within and beyond the classroom.
