Coker College Student Jaclyn Wessinger Inducted into Psi Chi Honor Society

Coker College is pleased to announce that Jaclyn Wessinger has been selected to be a member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology. Wessinger is a senior psychology major from Batesburg, S.C.

The organization was founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology. Induction is based on students' academic records and commitment to the advancement of the science of psychology.

Membership is open to graduate and undergraduate students who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests, and who meet the minimum qualifications. Psi Chi is a member of the Association of College Honor Societies and is an affiliate of the American Psychological Association and the Association for Psychological Science.

Coker College's Psi Chi Induction Ceremony was held on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, in the Charles W. and Joan S. Coker Library-Information Technology Center of Coker College.
