Coker College Student Bill VanderVeer Particpates in State Psychological Association Academic Day

2012 Nov 19

Bill VanderVeer, a Coker College senior psychology major from Hopkins, S.C., participated in the South Carolina Psychological Association's 2012 Academic Day and Quiz Bowl, held this month in Charleston.

Since 1994, the Association's annual Academic Day has provided a social and learning activity for students and faculty. Students have the opportunity to visit another campus, meet other students, listen and learn from top quality speakers and compete in the Academic Quiz Bowl, a competition that tests students' knowledge in a variety of areas of the discipline.

Established in 1908, Coker College readies undergraduates for personal and professional success through a distinctive four-year program that emphasizes a practical application of the liberal arts as well as hands-on and discussion-based learning within and beyond the classroom. Coker is ranked among the "Best Colleges" in the South by U.S. News & World Report as well as The Princeton Review. Located in Hartsville, S.C., Coker is within two hours of the cultural, financial and recreational resources of Charlotte, Columbia, Charleston and Myrtle Beach.
