Brianna Fowler Named to Coker College Students In Free Enterprise Presentation Team

2011 Dec 7

Brianna Fowler of Lexington, S.C., has been named a member of Coker College's Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) presentation team for the 2011-12 academic year. Fowler is a sophomore theater major at Coker.

In addition to working on projects throughout the year with other SIFE members, presentation team members are responsible for accurately, confidently and professionally relaying a 24-minute multimedia presentation on the year's most successful projects and results to the judges at competition. The presentation at the regional competition in New York City will be in front of 15-20 executive representatives of SIFE partner companies. If successful at regionals, Coker's team will face a considerably larger opening-round audience at the national exposition in May and an audience of as many as 5,000 (including CEO's from some of the largest corporations in the world) if it advances to the final round.

SIFE USA is the oldest and largest of the 39 SIFE country operations and with more than 4,000 students, faculty and executives in attendance, the SIFE National Exposition represents the largest gathering of SIFE network members anywhere in the world. Connecting generations of leaders to create a better world, SIFE is an international business and higher education network that works to improve lives, strengthen communities and develop socially responsible business leaders.

Established in 1908, Coker College readies undergraduates for personal and professional success through a distinctive four-year program that emphasizes a practical application of the liberal arts as well as hands-on and discussion-based learning within and beyond the classroom. Coker is ranked among the "Best Colleges" in the South by U.S. News & World Report as well as The Princeton Review. Located in Hartsville, S.C., Coker is within two hours of the cultural, financial and recreational resources of Charlotte, Columbia, Charleston and Myrtle Beach.
